This tab allows configuring a set of data stored by the device in non-volatile memory, as well as selecting the FLEX protocol version for transferring data to the GPS server.
Data transfer protocol version - this parameter allows you to define the version of the FLEX protocol in which the device will transmit data to the GPS server.
Set of parameters that the device can send to the server depends on the protocol version (the higher the version, the larger set of parameters can be selected).
Each parameter has its own size. The maximum buffer size for storing parameters in non-volatile memory is limited.
In the field TMI stored buffer size the total size of all currently selected parameters and the maximum allowable buffer size are displayed.
Device uses a dynamic structure for storing information in non-volatile memory, i.e. the device can store only the parameters selected by the user.
To select a parameter, tick the checkbox near its name.
If you need to select a parameter for saving to non-volatile memory that is not supported by the current protocol version, then you should:
1. Set the maximum protocol version.
2. Select a parameter.
3. Return the protocol version to its previous value.
Depending on whether the parameter is selected and whether it is possible to transfer it to the server, the following rules for displaying parameters are accepted:
Parameter is stored in non-volatile memory and transferred to the server:
Parameter is stored in non-volatile memory, but not transferred to the server:
Parameter is not stored in non-volatile memory and not transferred to the server:
Display rules are not valid for three system parameters:
Record number, Event ID и Event time.
These parameters are always stored in non-volatile memory and always transferred to the server.
Since the buffer size used can be changed during the configuration process, the device needs to format non-volatile memory in some cases.
All telematic records will be deleted during the formatting process.
Numbering of new records will start from 1.
There are 3 buffer size ranges:
If the device is loaded with a configuration that is different from the old range, the device formats the non-volatile memory.
Formatting lasts up to 30 seconds after turning on the device, while the SYS
indicator blinks once every half a second during the entire formatting time.
To transfer parameters that are not rigidly assigned to the certain fields of the data communication protocol, there are User parameters - universal "containers" for transferring arbitrary information to the GPS server.
User parameters are divided into 4 groups according to their size:
To transfer a parameter to the server, select it from the drop-down list in the corresponding field:
The list of parameters available for transfer is initially empty or limited to some standard items. But it is automatically supplemented with new items that are generated according to the settings on the tabs:
Later, as needed, the list of parameters available for selection will expand.
