There are two ways to install drivers on computer:
To check if the drivers are installed correctly, run the NTC Configurator and connect a device to your computer with USB.
If the drivers are installed correctly, the Configurator will detect the connected device and display information about it:
If the Configurator does not display information about the device, then you need to study the recommendations from the sections below.
Check that after connecting the device to your computer, no later than in 10-15 seconds any indication appears on the device's LEDs.
If no indication:
Check the reliability of the cable connection to the connectors of the computer and the device.
Make sure the cable is working.
Try connecting a hard drive, FLASH drive or other device to your computer with this cable. If the computer sees them, then the cable is working. Otherwise, try replacing the cable.
Make sure the selected connector is working.
Reconnect the cable to another connector
Description of LED indication is given in the separate guide
If the device still does not have any indication after all the test steps, contact our Technical Support Team.
After connecting the device to the computer, go to Device Manager. To do this, right-click on the icon My Computer (or This Computer) and select Management from the menu. In the window Computer Management that opens, select Device Manager from the list on the left.
In the list on the right, find the section Ports (COM and LPT). Expanding it, you should see how the computer identified the connected device. In the list you should see one of the used drivers:
Devices | Drivers | |
---|---|---|
Manufacturer | Model | |
475x 453x 465x 265x 243x 242x |
Arduino Srl | Bossa Program Port |
261х 241x 201x |
MediaTek Inc. | MTK USB Port |
451х 401x |
SimTech Incorporated | SimTech HS-USB AT Port 9011 |
If the list of ports does not contain the expected name, then looking at the list on the right side of the device manager, disconnect the device from the computer (wait 5 seconds), then reconnect.
Determine which device disappeared and reappeared when reconnecting. Then follow the recommendations for manual driver selection as described below (You must select the correct driver for your device model):
If there are no changes in the list (no items have disappeared, none have appeared), then the computer does not see the device and the problem is not related to the correct installation of the drivers.
In this case, please contact our Technical Support Team.
