When you start the application, you will see the main menu:
By clicking on this button, you will be prompted to select one of the 3 channels to connect to the device. Channels currently available:
In this section, Configurator stores and displays configuration files in XML format downloaded from the device or uploaded to the smartphone by the user.
In this section, Configurator stores and displays firmware files downloaded to the smartphone by the user. If the firmware is displayed in this section, then after connecting to the device, you will be able to upload it to the device.
Firmware can be added to this section in the following ways:
Download the firmware to your smartphone. Open application in the Firmware section and open the menu in the upper right corner of the screen. Select Find on mobile device item and specify the path to the downloaded firmware. The application will add it to its database.
From the Firmware section, open the menu in the upper right corner of the screen. Select Download from DRC item and specify for which device model you want to download the firmware. The application will download the latest current firmware from the DRC service with the Release status.
This section stores and displays telemetry files in .tmi
and .bb
formats that were previously downloaded from devices.
When telemetry files are selected, the function of sending this data to the GPS server becomes available. Detailed description of this function can be found in the Sending telemetry files to the server guide.
This section stores and displays program files for the Complex Events function in the .ceb
format, which were previously downloaded from devices or downloaded to the smartphone by the user. If the program is displayed in this section, it means that after connecting to the device, you will be able to upload it to the device.
This section contains all application settings.
App logs - Configurator and device exchange log (for debugging when connecting to a device), as well as Configurator and server exchange log (for debugging when uploading telemetry to the server). The application allows you to quickly send diagnostic logs to the technical support service to investigate problems when the configurator works with the device or if there are problems uploading telemetry to the server through the application.
Disable sleep mode setting allows you to keep the device screen active if connection with the device is established or telemetry is sending to the server.
Language - application interface language.
RCS Connection - settings for connecting to alternative address of the RCS server (or for working with it through your own proxy server).
Time synchronization - if the checkbox is ticked, then each time the Configurator connects to the device, it compares the device time with the time of the smartphone, and if the difference is more than 10 minutes, the Configurator synchronizes the current time in the device with the smartphone.
This function does not depend on the time zone.
Telemetry request period - frequency with which the Configurator requests telemetry when connected to a device.
