This article describes various ways to change the monitoring server for Navtelecom devices.
All methods are sorted by convenience and speed in descending order.
Changing servers for legacy device models (S-2551, S-2333, S-2117)
| START | S-20xx, S-40xx |
| SMART | S-24xx, S-45xx |
| SIGNAL | S-26xx, S-46xx, S-47xx |
An Internet command can be sent directly from the server the device is currently connected to, if the following conditions are met:
Short format description:
*!EDITS TRANS:SRV1(PROTOCOL,,,IP,PORT)
IP |
IP address or DNS name of the monitoring server | |
PORT |
Monitoring server port | |
PROTOCOL |
Data exchange protocol with the server. When switching a device to another monitoring server, specifying the protocol is optional. However, the port often depends on the selected protocol. Check the required port with the monitoring server support, providing the device model and data exchange protocol. |
|
FLEX |
FLEX protocol | |
F6 |
F6 protocol (legacy devices S-2551) | |
F5.2 |
F5.2 protocol (devices S-2117) | |
EGTS |
EGTS protocol (identification by "Object ID") | |
EGTSAUTH |
EGTS protocol (identification by IMEI) | |
In the examples below, the server address and port are specified assuming the device will operate using the
FLEXprotocol.
If you use another data exchange protocol, contact the monitoring server support team to obtain the correctIPandPORTparameters.
| Server | Command |
|---|---|
| Fort Monitor | *!EDITS TRANS:SRV1(FLEX,,,dev.fort-monitor.ru,65511) |

An SMS command can be sent to any device if its SIM card number is known and the following conditions are met:
Short format description:
*!EDITS TRANS:SRV1(PROTOCOL,,,IP,PORT)
PASSWORD *!EDITS TRANS:SRV1(PROTOCOL,,,IP,PORT)
PASSWORD |
Password that can be set by the user during device configuration (by default, no SMS control password is set) | |
IP |
IP address or DNS name of the monitoring server | |
PORT |
Monitoring server port | |
PROTOCOL |
Data exchange protocol with the server. When switching a device to another monitoring server, specifying the protocol is optional. However, the port often depends on the selected protocol. Check the required port with the monitoring server support, providing the device model and data exchange protocol. |

FLEX |
FLEX protocol | |
F6 |
F6 protocol (legacy devices S-2551) | |
F5.2 |
F5.2 protocol (devices S-2117) | |
EGTS |
EGTS protocol (identification by "Object ID") | |
EGTSAUTH |
EGTS protocol (identification by IMEI) | |
If a password is set in the device configuration for SMS control, you must add the password and a space before
*!.
Detailed example is available in the "Command format" section.

A command via the DRC service can be sent if the following conditions are met:
- Registration needs to be completed only once to obtain an ID for your organization (after that, you can create multiple accounts for different employees)
- The remaining steps are clearly described in the "Sending via DRC" section

If objects are already created in the system, go directly to step 4
Add one or more objects

When creating an object, only two parameters are required:
IMEI – always required;Password – required if it is set in the device (if a password exists in the device but is not specified in the DRC object, device control will not be possible)
Select objects (1) and (2), then assign a task (3)

Using the configurator, settings can also be changed remotely.
The process is described in detail in the "Editing in configurator" section.
Connect to the device remotely:
Read the current configuration

Edit the server

Do not forget to save the updated configuration to the device

The main method for editing settings is connecting to the device via USB using the configurator.
The process is described in detail in the "Editing in configurator" section.
